Problems with Datastage 6.0.1 on Win2003

Hello everybody,

My client is experiencing very serious problems with running Datastage on a Windows 2003 Server.

Version 6.0.1 stops responding after about 5 minutes and no clients can connect to it.

Ascential has been informed and suggested we install version 7.0.

Alas. Same problem. The Datastage server doesn't even have to do any work at all in order for it to loose the ability to accept connections. Stopping the services doesn't fix the problem as they cannot be restarted. The only way out is to reboot the Win2003 server.

Has anybody experiences anything like this ? And do you have any suggestions as how to solve the problem ?

Is 6.0.1 certified for operation on Windows 2003?

I reviewed the matrix, made some calls and have been told that W/2003 is not yet a supported platform.

Hi Ray and Michael.

No. 6.0.1 is not certified for Win2003 and quite rightly so, as it doesn't work.

7.0 is certified for Win2003 according to the installation CD readme file and Ascential. The fact that it also doesn't work is a minor detail. [:D]
