Killing a query/data view

Post by jeredleo »

When designing jobs, you can click the 'View data' button in the stages and a query is sent to the data storage to bring back the data. If the button has been clicked and the task is in the process of retrieving the data, is there a way to Kill the task in DataStage?

Thanks

It is almost impossible to determine the process that is executing the query behind a View Data with certainty.
Therefore it is almost impossible to kill the query.
You ought to submit an enhancement request to Ascential (or through this site) to include a Cancel button on the View Data dialog.
