Register oraoci9 dll - ERROR

Hi,

I recieve the following error while registering oraoci9.dll

Unable to register plugin (Path=/synchen/dstage/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/lib/oraoci9) Error Code=-2

I logged in as root and there was no client connected. the os is AIX

Help please

PS: I have 4 projects and one among them has oraoci9 registered. What is that I am missing

Did you do the registration as 'root' or yourself? I believe you need to be root, or in 6.x you may be able to do it as 'dsadm'.

If you did, I'd suggest you contact Support on this.

This probably has nothing to do with how you are logged in when you register the plugin. This is probably a path problem.

In the dsenv file located in the home directory. Make sure that the $ORACLE_HOME/lib is specified before any other libraries in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH or appropriate LIBRARY path variable for your AIX ( I believe it is LIBPATH).

You can display the home directory by executing cat /.dshome

Also, You will need to stop and start the services for this change to take affect.
