How to run a released job in command mode

Post by azens »

Hi all,

I can run DataStage Job by using 'dsjob' command in unix command mode. But if this job has been released, the released job cannot be run by using 'dsjob' command in unix command mode. Is there any solution?

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to run a released job using 'dsjob'...

Did you specify the complete, released name of the job? Or barring that, have you tried it without having an unreleased version of the job in the project? If I recall correctly, if only released versions exist (say, in a Test or Production project), you can 'run' the job using the unreleased name and it will find and run the highest release number in the project.

Or you can just stop releasing jobs and use Version Control to promote everything. [:D] Depending, of course, on your version of DataStage.
