Change of MetadataRepository from DB2 to Oracle(Infosphre8.5

Post by kirankumarreddydesireddy »

Hi

We have installed Infosphere 8.5 server edition on Windows 2003 server with DB2 as Metadata repository.

We just installed Infosphere and we didnot start any activities(development) yet.

We plan to change the Metadata Repository from DB2 to Oracle.

Is there any way we can change the Metadata Repository from DB2 to Oracle without uninstalling Infosphere?

Please let me know if there is any way to do it.

Thanks
Kiran

You should be able to use the new Migration Assistant, since you've done no work at all (and you're on version 8.5).

Thanks Ray

I had searched for this functionality(changing the metadata repository from DB2 to Oracle) using Migration assistant in IBM website, but could not find it.

Can you please brief how to use this migration assistant to perform this functionality

Why not simply read the documentation that came with the product?
