merge stage

Hi,

I am trying to do join using Merge stage and i have given the path to both the files and the filenames at the output tab. merge->transformer->sequentialfile

so when i run the job i got an error

DataStage Job 351 Phantom 5472
Program "DSP.Open": Line 122, Exception raised in GCI subroutine:
Access violation.
Attempting to Cleanup after ABORT raised in stage Merge..Merge_0
DataStage Phantom Aborting with @ABORT.CODE = 3

Can anyone tell me what might be the issue.

It worked as i havent given path for the temporary directory

So the issue here is your predilection to post on DSXchange before attempting diagnosis yourself?

Hi ,

I havent aware that i have to give path in the tempoary directory , so i havent given that and i tried to run and it didnt work for me , so i just tied and and then gave the path in temporary directory, so it worked . I just posted that it worked for me as there might be some people who might be getting the same kind of error and if they look the posts they can find the solution.
