I forgot the password for dsadm, how can we reset password for dsadm.

Just like you would any other password. At the UNIX level if you are using UNIX passwords, or if you are using LDAP, your Wintel admin can set it to something new.

Do you mean this way
login as root then
# passwd username
Type in a new password
Type in the new password again.

None, once you've updated any DataStage credential in Information Server that is mapped to dsadm.

This is cool. I had thought otherwise. Till now we have keep dsadm outside of audits for password change since we did not know the impact of changing the password for dasdm
