issue while creating a new project from Administrator Client

Post by pallerlasujana »

We have Ibm Infosphere Information Server 8.1 installed on aix server

I faced an issue while creating a new project from Administrator Client.
Received the following error from administrator client

Error: DSR.ADMIN: Error creating DR elements, Error was log4j:ERROR setFile(null, true) call failed.

Can anyone suggest a solution for this
I appreciate your help in this regard

Thanks

While I haven't seen this message, it is a Java error relating to file activity so in all likelihood you have a permission problem in the directory where you are creating this new project.

Or you have a bug in the install script, suggested by a null first argument to setFile() function. Please advise your official support provider.

Hello all,

This could happen beacuse the user mapped to the OS does not have write permissions on his /home directory. Could be?

Review also the filesystem and database space.

Kind regards

Are you running Administrator as dsadm or equivalent admin user?
