Compatibility of Datastage 7.5 Server Edn with Oracle 11g

Good Morning,

We have a recent database upgradation project where we are moving from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g.

While we have been successfully running Datastage 7.5 Server Edition ETL jobs against Oracle 10g database, we would like to know in case there are any compatibility issues with Datastage 7.5 Server Edition with Oracle 11g (release 11.x.x.x)

In case there are any incompatibilty issues with any of Oracle 11g releases, kindly let me know. Accordingly we would also like to know in case of such incompatiblilities if IBM provides any compatibility patches for the same.

Those really should be questions to your official support provider.

Thanks for your advise. However, we do not have any Official Support Provider. We work on Datastage for our client company who use this software as one of their official products.
We needed to know of the compatibility of the software with Oracle 11g so that we are in a position to provide a suggestion to our client.

If any of you have come across this question or does have information on the same, kindly share.
It would be highly helpful.

Doesn't "your client" have support? If not, then the whole question of patches is moot.

I do believe our client has got support for the software. However, question of patches would come up only if we know that DS 7.5 is incompatible with all or any release of Oracle 11g (11.x.x.x).

If you or someone can provide at least this information, it would be helpful for us to proceed further.

Is offshore/Onsite kind of model then from your company somebody woule have been at onsite to co-ordinate ask him/her to call up the support.we have done upgradation here but have not checked up with the support we upgraded both datastage and database.My suggestion would be with both.

So, again... have someone ask these questions of Support through whatever channel you have available to you. Horse's Mouth and all. I doubt it is completely "incompatible" with 11g but unaware of any potential issues. You may need to connect to it with a lower client, for example.
