Problem with DSN creation

Post by arnie_nits »

Hi,

I am trying to create a DSN . I have made an entry in .odbc.ini file.

But thats not working. Is anything else needed to be done?

Arnie.

Create an entry in uvodbc.config located in your DSHOME.

Create an entry in the uvodbc.config file in your project directory if you want to limit that project to a subset of the available DSNs.

Use the test facilities in branded_odbc to check your work. Then use DS.CONNECT within dssh to test whether DataStage can use the DSN.

After finishing this step, please also make one copy of the uvodbc.config locating in your DSHOME under the project folder if you created this project earlier than updating the .odbc.ini/uvodbc.config....
