importing a job in a different folder

Post by ayan »

While exporting and importing a job,I have always noticed that the folder information is included in the .dsx file and if the folder is not present in the target project (where the job is being imported),it is created. Now if I want to import a job to a different folder (say a job is in folder X in Dev project, but want to import it in Y folder in SIT project),how can I do it?I tried by unchecking the option defaulted properties in the export dialog box but did not get the desired result.Could you please help?

You can try to modify the dsx file in case you really need to do that.

From the GUI, all you can do is move it after the import. Be careful editing the dsx, I horked up a project once with an improper category change via editing. Was a bee-yatch to fix.
