Error during writing to a FTP stage

I have a job which extracts data from a DB2 stage, writes in a seq. file and then transfers the data to another server using a FTP stage.
This job is scheduled once everyday. Strangely, in the scheduled run, everytime the job aborts saying --> ds_seqput: error in 'write()' - Error 0
/ ds_seqput: error in 'write()' - File too large.

When I reset the job and run it manually, the job runs fine. I have tried many options, but of no use.
Can anyone throw some light on it?

Is the user it executes under different between the manual and scheduled runs?
