DATE CONVERSION

HI all,
I wanted to convert the date 2008-01-21 23:59:59 into 2008-01-21
in datastage server edition. my source and target is Teradata.
I tried by using a flatfile(target) it is working but it isnot supporting for database(teradata target).By basing on date i have to load data.
So please help me how to do?
