Client Side in French
Hi All
We just migrate from 7.1 to the V8.1 version.
After the install of the client side of infosphere datastage we found out that it's speak French. So are we,but we would like to have the English language in the designer because it's to much confusing.
We found the INFORMATION_SERVER_LANGUAGE option but we are not sure of the impact on the client side.
Thank you

I have no idea if this would work... you change the Windows language on the fly AFAIK. Change it to English, install DataStage and then switch it back to French, maybe the DataStage English will stick.
Or they may be locked together. Best to check with support and let us know.

It's a very common abbreviation used on the 'net much like BTW and IIRC which is why I generally feel comfortable with using them* here and which a quick Google would have turned up for you.
There's a ton listed here but I would never use the vast majority of them here.
* The 'them' is really just the two or three in this post.

Bonne chance!
DataStage picks up the operating system language setting when it is installed. Therefore I do not believe that changing the operating system "on the fly" will work. I believe that you will need to uninstall, change the operating system language to English, then perform a clean install.
Then you can change the NLS map used for client-server communication. This is done in the Administrator client.
