Migration from 7.0 to 8.x

Hi,

We are planning to migrate from 7.0 (server) to 8.x (PX).

Appreciate your guidance/reference for this migration process.

Installation has a metadata server in 8.x
Installation has a Websphere frameworkd component presenti n 8.x
Parameters are managed using parametersets in 8.x

The server functionality of Version 7.x remains with PX Version 8.x and any jobs should continue to function in the same manner as before. You will have new functionality at V8 as well as a somewhat more complicated installation and administration using the Websphere components and you should try to get some training and/or experience in this aspect before upgrading, particularly if you are already in production at version 7.x
