AMP lock table

This is a very simple job. The job having a source file and a reference Teradata stage used through transformer.

i am getting an unfamiliar error like "The AMP Lock table has overflowed". What does it mean, is this error related to Teradata stage used in job? How to overcome this. Please throw some light on it.

It's actually an issue within Teradata itself. For whatever reason locks in the AMP lock table are not being released, or maybe simply the demand for them is too great. Work with your DBA to resolve.

Exactly. Talk to your DBA or google for 'AMP Lock table overflow' for discussions on the issue.
