Is Wait for file activity Stage used only for static file?

Is Wait for file activity Stage used only for static file?

Can I use Wait for file activity Stage for unknown files?or only used for known file?

you should know entire or exact name of file.

Correct, it does not support wildcards.

Or use parameters to substitute when you know the name
