It would help to state when/where you get this message.

The connection (presumably between client and server) is broken. At some point the network connection has had a glitch. Or your inactivity timeout expired.

Thanks Ray,

Can I increase the Inactivity timings? I checked in administrator a variable named DSIPC_OPEN_TIMEOUT is set to 30.

DSIPC_OPEN_TIMEOUT - increasing this will increase the inactivity timings?

Please let me know

Thanks,

The Inactivity Timeout setting is on the General tab of the Administrator, it's not an environment variable.

Thanks chulett, I could see the Timeout options in Administrator but I couldnt make any change over there...its not allowing.

Why so, Is that means a protected environment?

thanks,

Either that or you are not a DataStage Administrator.

Right, you'd have to be logged in as "dsadm" to make the change and then bounce DataStage for the change to take effect.
