Error in Exporting through DS Manager

Post by vintipa »

Hi friends,

i am getting the following error when trying to export from Manager.
When tab for Export is clicked i get the following error message:

Error calling subroutine: *DataStage*DSR_SELECT (Action=7); check DataStage is set up correctly in project wiproDWDev1
(Subroutine failed to complete successfully (30107))

i am not able to export. Kindly suggest the reason and solution if the error is known to you.

regards,
Vinay

Search is your friend!

Try a search on 30107.

There are quite a few articles out there - here is the link to one:

hi all,

its very urgent. as mentioned in other posts for the same error,
i did the reindexing for the project i had problem in through administrator.

but after the reindexing i cannot see any jobs in the project.
can they be deleted in this way?
do i have to import back the project from the backup?

please reply as soon as possible.

:!: If you read the other posts, then you should know that a reindex makes all of the jobs appear to disappear if you didn't have exclusive access to the project. That literally means no jobs, no other client connects, no defunct connects, nothing. If you have to restart DataStage to ensure that, then by all means restart it.

After ensuring that, try the reindex again.

hi Friend,

Thanks for your valuable information. i think i have not searched properly before doing reindex for the topic.
i had ensured all the connections were out. also all the dsapi_slave sessions/processes were killed. and then ran reindex. but i missed the command unlock all before doing this. later i found that one job was locked during the process. can this be the reason?
Now that i have unlocked that job, if i do the reindexing will all the jobs be visible?

Only way to know would be for you to try it... and it certainly won't make it any "worse".

DSXchange is not a substitute for your support provider. We don't, indeed can't, do "urgent". We're all volunteers who post as and when we can. If you require urgent assistance, sign up with your support provider for premium level service, and learn just how much "urgent" costs.

hi Ray,

Your words are not out of my realisation. I already have 2 PMRs in rogress with IBM team for other issues. But one thing i really appreciate about DSXchange is that the Volunteers here are even more faster in response than the paid support. So just exploiting the same.
Let me assure you 'Urgent' was just a request but not a demand
i thank every Volunteer in DSXchange for their valuable posts.

Thanks Ray.

And? Have you successfully reindexed or is there still a problem?

hi All,

Yes, now the Project is successfully reindexed. and the jobs are all visible.
The problem of not being able to export categories is also resolved.

thanks to all once again.
