core file

Can any one explain to be the DS core file

back ground: I have a Ds job with a DB extract and a DS sort which land data to a hash file. The job fails after processing 1.5 million records I suspect this failure has to do some thing with the sort stage properties.
The jobs while failing is create the core file in the unix project folder.

Not sure what there is to explain. Failed UNIX processes that crash 'core dump' and create a 'core' file that people with the right tools can use to analyze the crash. Google for 'core dump' for more information.
