Error on Regen - UVCONFIG

Post by gup »

Hello - on Linux - have one engine I am trying to update some parameters on. I changed a few parameters - but when I go to issue

"bin/uv -admin -regen" - here is the error I get. Anyone seen this?

UVSPOOL path does not exist or have adequate permissions
error in uvconfig at line 51: UVSPOOL /tmp
uvregen: error during regen, process aborted
uvregen: error during regen, process aborted

Of course the /tmp is the default setting and is wide open to everyone - Permissions are 777 .

Any help is appreciated. This command is done under ROOT - or DSADMIN give the same error.

I suggest you point UVSPOOL someplace that exists and you'll have read/write permission.

And if you think that's already the case, make sure your uvconfig entry for this doesn't have any extra/junk characters in it confusing the issue.

Did you change the parameter immediately ahead of UVSPOOL ?

Does your uvconfig file's last line have a line terminator?

I copied another over from another engine - seems to be the issue - must have been corrupted or otherwise :)

Thanks - Matt
