Post by DSRajesh »

Hi

Is there any other option to clean up resources other than from either Director orUsing command like kill command to kill the process ids..

Is there any other option from client components to clean up resources?

Any one advice about this?

Rajesh, Kill command will not do any cleanup for you, It will just kill hte process and many a times a dangerous weapon to use. Assuming, you having issues with the Job locks then DataStage has the functionality apart from just clean-up resources to release those jobs. It is described in Administrator guide. For example :Use LIST.READU and look for the job and note the userno then by using UNLOCK USER <userno> ALL you can clear it. Also you can find many more discussions in the forum related to this.

Note: Be careful if you are using BatchId's.
I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.
