Metadata export to UAT

Hi,

We have jobs (in DEV) having hashed file stage where in we are refering to the relevant metadata stored in the Manager.

When we deploy such jobs to the UAT Environment, do we need to export the metadata as well or only the jobs will be enough?
Or Should we manually delete the table definition reference details from the stage before the deploy?

in simple No need to export the Metadata to UAT, if you are not using XML stages in your jobs

It depends. I would always advocate promoting the table definitions from the Repository as well as the job designs that use them so that tools such as Usage Analysis and MetaStage can successfully be used in the UAT environment.
