I did not create any job using excel. I want to tell the requirements to client to connect excel. That is why i asked these questions. So now I understood from your answer that to connect with excel, DSN should be created and columns also should be defined.

One solution we use is to create .csv (comma delimited) text files. Then when the user double clicks on one of these files, .csv is associated with Excel on their PC - so it opens in Excel. The nice thing about this is that we don't have to concern ourselves with what version of Excel the user has and we don't have to mess with different versions of Excel on the server. So, just an idea if you did not already know about it.
