Unable to initialize the connection to oracle server

Hi All,

In server job I'm using ORACLE OCI BULK stage for loading
target oracle table. But while loading, it's giving me fetal error
"Unable to initialize the connection to Oracle Server".

In this case use of ORACLE OCI BULK stage is recommended so
can't replace it by any other stage.

Yuck, a fetal error.

There should be more to the error than that, something that should explain why it couldn't 'initialize the connection'. Can you post all warnings or messages related to this?

Fetal (foetal) is not the same as fecal (faecal) which is, I'm fairly sure, how you were thinking.

Me? Sorry, no. I learned long ago the difference between feces and a fetus and promised my Mom I wouldn't mix them up again.

Hi Ray,

I also got the same error, This was while trying to load using the OCI Bulk Stage,
The Erros were
Internal Error: COracleOCI::Initialize failed
Unable to initialize the connection to Oracle Server

any help is appreciated

Please start a new post so we know your O/S and DataStage version. Also include *all* related messages from your job's log and describe your job design for us. Have you ever used this stage before successfully or is this the first time you are attempting it?
