Aggregator

Hi,

I am using an aggregator stage, in which there is sort of ascending for first 2 fields and am grouping all fields in input for 3 key fields while passing on to a transformer. Here i am facing a "Line out of Sequence" error, Can anyone please let me know what can be the cause for this?

Input to the aggregator is happening from a transformer and i tried using an intermediate sequential file before passing to aggregator which failed with same error. Line out of sequence.

I see that you have marked your post as resolved. Can you share what the problem, and hence the solution was?

Was it because the input columns and the sort columns did not match?

Almost certainly it was that the data were not sorted as asserted.

When you specify "Sort" on the input of an Aggregator stage you are telling DataStage that the data are already sorted, not that you require the data to be sorted.
