ODBC Driver license expired

Post by yaminids »

Hello freinds,

We have DataStage 7.5.x installed on a Linux server and were able to connect to different databases for almost a year
All of a sudden our jobs failed with the following error

SQLSTATE=S1000, DBMS.CODE=1509
[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]File not found 'IVVM.LIC'.
SQLSTATE=S1000, DBMS.CODE=6060
[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]
You are not licensed to use this DataDirect Technologies ODBC Driver under the license you have purchased. If you wish to purchase a license for use with this application, then you may use this driver for a period of 15 days, during which time you are required to obtain a license. You can order a license for a DataDirect Technologies ODBC Driver for use with this application by calling DataDirect Technologies at 800-876-3101 in North America and +44 1727 812812 elsewhere.

We are using the following ODBC driver "Driver=/opt/Ascential/DataStage/branded_odbc/lib/VMor820.so"

The job has 3 stages (2 ODBC stages and 1 Transformer stage). It transfers data from db to another

Did anyone face this problem before?

Any help would be hightly appreciated

Thanks a bunch in advance

Lots of folks did. Did you search the forum?

Now send dollars for a license to Data Direct. Your 30 day grace period has expired. The drivers supplied with DataStage are licensed only for use with DataStage ODBC stage.

Sounds like they *are* using it only with the ODBC stage. Seems like this is the error to be chasing down, not the fact that anything expired:

File not found 'IVVM.LIC'

My bad Answered late at night. Craig is right, you need to work out where the license file IVVM.LIC is, and make sure that is visible to DataStage applications.
