#Exception_Handler_80.$ErrMessage# can not display in email

Post by tiozzo »

Hi All, in the activty notification stage when I put #Exception_Handler_80.$ErrMessage# in the subject of the email, the email is never sent. If I user the other error handler variables it works fine.

Help is appreciated

We have recently installed datastage and are working on our first project.

Thanks

:? Odd... just the one? Any idea if there is any funky in it? Try putting the variable in the body of the email rather than the subject to check it out...

Which exact 7.x version, btw?

I solved the problem by putting a literal (a space) before the variable.

It worked fine

Thanks

It doesn't work for me even if I put the literal (space). I get the following error always.

Code: Select all

seq_ext_ref_blng..JobControl (DSSendMail): Parameter 4 ('[ParamValue/Limitvalue is not appropriate]') does not start with a keyword

seq_ext_ref_blng..JobControl (@Failure_Notify): Routine DSSendMail did not finish OK, return code = '-19'

Different issue. Please start a new thread. Search for DSJE.BADVALUE in the meantime.
