cd `cat /.dshome`
. ./dsenv

Does that mean you can login using the Designer/Director/Manager/Administrator using your admin account, but get the error message when trying to login as a DataStage user?

Are there files called .developer.adm and .operator.adm (particularly the first) in the project directory?

Is there another machine on the network with the same IP address as your DataStage server machine?

Out of curiosity, are you able to log onto DataStage Designer with a user id greater than 8 characters in length?

There is still a bug in at least the Linux port of 7.5.2 that core dumps when logging in with a user id longer than 8 characters.

Just seeing if it still exists on other ports. Did exist for the Solaris port in the 2004 time frame.

Thanks,
Craig
