restarting DS server for Dsdlockd.config

restarting DS server for Dsdlockd.config

Hi All,

This is a simple question .Do we need to restart the Datastage server if we edit the values in dsdlockd.config file ?

No, just the deadlock daemon itself.

can you please tell me the command how to start and stop the deadloack daemon?
since i am going to do that in production i want some guidelines .

From a TCL prompt using the DEADLOCK.MENU functions is the best answer. You need to not be connected to a particular Project, from what I recall, if you're not sure do a "LOGTO UV" command first.

Or I believe you can just edit the value of the Start boolean in the config file and it will notice.

You may find it easier to restart the DataStage services, which will also work, even though it's overkill.

since i am going to do it in the production environment restarting the DS server wil need lots of approval.
I can login to UV and then stop and restart the Deadlock Daemon
