alias Id for Job Name

Post by speedsterrules »

New thread: old question.

How can we create an alias id for a job name?

I need to send the output of my DSJobReport function to one file rather than creating a new file everytime.

Also, does the alias id get input as an argument in function call?

Thanks

"jobid" option using dsjob function from command prompt can be used to create alias name.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

Where ever you find "job|job_id", alias can be used, example dsjob -jobinfo can be used to get the latest info about the job using alais.
