i used sequential file instead of ODBC still getting error.
i didn't toggle my password, since it prompts to enter either encrypted or string type.
plz help me.

Its strange.
What is the default value are you specifying in the Job properties?
You should have it as $PROJDEF.
If you have given a default value for the password parameter in DS Admin, it should not ask you to key in the password when you view data or run the job.
Also you say view data the default value should be $PROJDEF and it should prompt you to, key in the password.
If you dont have a default value set for Password in DS Admin, do that and give a try.
Note: If you have the Type as encrypted in the DS Admin, you need to have similar type set in the Job Parameter too.
