Converting .xls to .csv

Hi,
I have .xls excel sheet and I WOULD like it to be converted to .csv file.Is there any way to do it.

Typically, one would do a File/Save As and change the type. Excel does the rest. Are you looking for something other than that?

A Google search for the keywords "convert xls to csv" will also return a number of packages that purport to be able to do this. I would stick with the original method of doing it from within Excel.

Lots of utilities available on net. We wanted to automate it as we keep recvng files monthly and hence did not want to do it manually. We downloaded a VB Macro and modified it to our needs.
You can do the same.

Open the xl file and do a save as (.txt) and your xl files gets converted to Comma seperated text file.
