How to call an oracle sequence in transformer stage?

Hi All,
Can anyone clarify me regarding how to call a sequence(created in pl/sql) in server job transformer stage?

It would be possible only through a Routine. Which would handle the call to the Oracle for the sequence.

But why such a requirement :?
