ODBC Connection to MS Access

All,

I never worked with MS ACCESS database,now i got a requirement to load data into MS Access DB.I did some search and found MS Access DB comes in .mdb file.My question is how to set up ODBC DSN for MS Access DB on DS Server.

Hi edward_m...
I think it is through Administrative tools..Programfiles/Administrative tools/ Data source(ODBC)...check it...

You need to goto Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>DataSources(ODBC) on your server. Ask your DS Admin to create one.

Thanks..What information i need to send to DS Admin to create DSN for MS Access DB..for example if i need ODBC DSN for SQLServer i will pass Servername and database name..
Please suggest me what info i need to send DS admin for the above requirement..

You will have to ask him to create a System DSN for MSAccess and give your database name which you would like to connect. Apart from that I don't see what he will need to set it up.
