SDK KeyMgt - KeyMgtGetNextValue

Post by Bryceson »

Folks,

I want to use the Routine KeyMgtGetNextValue in my derivation on transformer stage. But while in Transformer -> Derivation then right click DS Routine I can not see the "KeyMgtGetNextValue". What setting do I need to set to activate it in DataStage so I can able to use it??

Thanks in Advance for your Knowledge!

Can you see it in the manager? If yes, compile it and it should show up in the list.

ArndW,

Thanks . . . Yes, I can see it in DataStage Manager . . . But I can not compile it since it is a ReadOnly. How do I remove the read only on the Routine?? Then I should be able to compile.

Thanks . . . Bryceson

It's not about compiling or the fact that it's Read Only. There is a Transform sitting over those routines so that overrides the ability to pick the Routine directly.

Seek it under DS Transforms, Grasshopper...

Lol - I missed that. I've used the "Grasshopper" expression a couple of times here in the UK and I've gotten some really strange looks. Somehow it isn't funny when you explain it...

I don't think it made TV here, they were probably showing Monty Python or Coronation Street instead. But I have picked up the phrase "Don't mention the War" - everyone know that here but I bet you nobody back in the USA would know what to do with that statement.
