How save job status ffrom DS log

Post by Perwezakh »

In our daily run of DataStage jobs, we just keep for 2 weeks of log (Run history of job status). I have to save the run log information for some perticular date to do a comparison. I have looked into DS Director found one place to copy log into some folder but its not working how it has been defined in help. Can anyone help me on this how I should save the run log history to any folder.

Rohit it doesn't work how I wanted to save. I would like to save as it is in the log, not only time and job names.
Do you have any idea

Read the linked discussion again, especially the replies from Arnd and Ultramundane. Read the manual or check the command-line help for the 'dsjob' command and the options it has like 'logsum'. Search the forums for same. There are equivalent DS routines to farm job logs as well if you'd rather do it in a 'job'.

It all depends on exactly what/when/how you want to do this. Flat file target? Database? Be more specific. Give examples. You'll get better answers.

Or find any post from Kim Duke (kduke) and check his sig to get the download location of something called ETLStats. It does all that and more, free for the downloading. Take. Adapt. Shine.
