DataStage Upgradation to 6.0

Post by Latha1919 »

If we upgrade the Datastage from 5.1 to 6.0, What would be the impact on the existing jobs. Mainly, how the Hashed files will be impacted. Are all the stages in 5.1 are supported by 6.0?

Are IPC stages & Turning on Inter-process Row-buffering available with DataStage 6.0 or these are included in 7.0 onwards.

As of now, we dont have any documentation on DataStage 6.0.

Could anybody help me

Thanks,
Latha

There really shouldn't be any.

They won't be. Hashed files are hashed files.

Yes, of course.

From 6.x as far as I recall.

That being said, why 'stop at six' so to speak? You'd be better off, in my opinion, to go straight to the latest 7.5.x version.

In what sense? As a client - sure. As a Server - don't know. Someone else here will or it will be mentioned in the docs or on the Ascential product availability website.
