DS.REINDEX ALL has been executed while clients are connected

Post by kiran_418 »

DS.REINDEX ALL has been executed while two clients for that project are connected. :(
Jobs cannot be seen in the repository.
If i disconnect the clients and re run the DS.REINDEX ALL command will i be able to see the Jobs back.
WHat is the prep work to be done to restore all the indexes.
Thanks in advance

This may force the index to get broken.
Building back the Index may be painfull and its not of full garuntee.
Try to restart the server. Once it worked fine for me.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

Yes, running the REINDEX command with users connected will hork things up and make all jobs disappear. Ensure all users are disconnected (bounce things if you need to) and then rerun - you should be fine.

The project got back after rerunning the DS.REINDEX ALL.
This time I made sure that all the clients are disconnected and server was not restarted. It came back as it is.
Thanks Guys
