How to change DS7 key, once it has expired !!!

How to change DS7 key, once it has expired !!!

Hi

We are trying to update keys of DataStage V 7.1
But for some reason, we cann't able to open general tab, where we used to change key settings.(change the old key):shock: Is there any way :idea: we can update it. Please help me :arrow:

serial number 'xxx' license expired on '09 Jan 2006'

Error calling subroutine: DSR_PROJECT (Action=16); check DataStage is set up correctly in project UV

Are you trying to do it as the dsadm user?

At worst case, you can do a 'reinstall' of the server with the new auth code.

I am using admin user only.
Is there any way we can chage through command prompt? :?:

If i reinstall, will i loose my exixting projects? :shock:

No, you won't lose anything. In the past, that was the only way to change or upgrade the license information. From what I recall, it's not until 7.5.x that we were given a way to just update the license information... :?

Can you set your server machine date back a few days, update the license key and then move the date forward again?

Please qualify "all". For example, I don't know how SAP licensing works.
