How to pass the parameters to a job

Post by mchaves »

Hi there,

I have some parameters defined in Sequence, but I am not getting the right syntax when passing them through to the jobs in the sequence.

Any ideas about the right syntax?

Thanks

Have you used the "Insert Parameter Value" button on the job activity stage?

Yes, I have.

But the command insert parameter value inserts the parameter name and ds is complains about the syntax. I have tried informing the parameter name between ## but it didn't work.

The insert parameter value should work. Do the data types match from the sequence to the job? Is the parameter an environmental parameter?

What is the exact verbage it is giving you for an error?

Yes, it should work just fine. Perhaps there is a fundamental mismatch of parameter types at work here... as noted, please post the exact 'syntax complaint' you are getting, that and the parameter types involved should help figure out what is going on.

Hi Guys!

Yes, the problem was the parameter type that was different from the job parameter.

Thanks very much for your help.

Have a great Christimas!

Cheers
