Hi,
Is there any way a job can implement NT Authentcation rather than having to submit a username and password to access MS SQL Server?

And how exactly should a DS server on Unix be expected to use NT Authentcation? (out of the box that is)

Talk with your SysAdmins and DBAs for a solution its really in their field more then DS related.
