reg clear status file

Can any one tell me what is the purpose of clear status file how this will refelect cleanup resources

Hi,
have you tried looking on some posts you get from the search utility?
use "clear status file" and "cleanup resources" as key words.

They are unrelated.

Clear Status File destroys all status information relating to the job. It should only be used as a very last resort - that's why you get two "are you sure?" messages.

Cleanup Resources is about processes and Repository database locks relating to executing DataStage jobs and connected clients.
