CFF not functionin correctly in DS 7.5.1A for Itanium

Hi all,

I installed DS 7.5.1A for HP-UX 11.23 (Itanium) and found out that the CFF plugin has a bug.

When trying to read a file encoded in binary EBCDIC the COMP fields are read as zero.
We had that working both in DS 7.1 and DS 7.5 for PA-RISC.

Ascential support told me to use the PA-RISC DS 7.5 libraries but they do no work because its cff libraries have the extension .sl and the new Itanium libraries have the extension .so.

As far as I know only the COMP fields do not work. The COMP-3, etc, work fine.

Has anyone come across this problem yet? I looked up here and developernet and found nothing about this.

Just an update to this post, in case someone bumps into the same problem I did.

Ascential EMEA support opened a case in Ascential engineering.

Just a final update.

Ascential has produced a patch to solve this case.

I have to say that Ascential chaps have excelled themselves and have been extremely helpful & fast.
