ODBC VS OLEDB

Hi,
Last Time I used OLEDB (a couple of years back) My impression was:
OLEDB Advantages:
1. Faster
2. Supports native types
3. Auto convrsion of date types to internal DS date for manipulation without using Iconv/Oconv.
OLEDB Disadvantages:
1. poor error mesages, harder to debug.
2. some things I tried were only achieved via ODBC stage and I was not able to make them work in the OLEDB (withing the time frame I ahd).
But that was back when DS was version 5 so I think alot happened since,
I'll see if anyone I know still using it can add to this post.
I've called them and I've covered it up well.
They say they use OLEDB (Several TB of DW Project).
But I'm not sure they tried using the DRS stage - since this was not available back when they decided.
IHTH,
