Hi,
Do you have any knowladge about: "How to connect to Btrieve using ODBC".
I have some files with *.btr extension and I would like to use DS to extract data from them.
I am not sure what I need to do that.
I don't know what version of Btrieve I have .
I suppose that I should have some client version of Btrieve...
Can you give me some advice?
Is it possible?

A quick use of google shows that there are ODBC drivers out there for BTrieve. I didn't check whether there are freeware ones out there or not. If you have an instance of Btrieve you could always export the data into a csv or similar format from the database.
You are going to need either BTrieve or a driver no matter what.

Hi,
Hoping I'm guessing right, are you talking about magic files?
Last time I thought I need to do it they were just about to replace them with Oracle tables instead, So I ended up handling tables instead .
I don't have any such file to try and test this so the only thing I can sugest is that you try to see if you can get them in an ascii format or in a DB table.
Sorry I'm not much help this time
Good Luck ,
