Hi,

When I do ftp some files from Windows to UNIX, Sometimes It carries some carriage returns sometimes not...
I am using Auto Transfer type..Is there any extra care do I need to take to suppress these carriage returns..?
Or Is there any tip I can use to eliminate them..?
some files as they are big in size, I cant even remove them in Unix as it is big file..

Thanks in Advance...

Force it to use an ASCII transfer rather than relying on the auto option. Then it will 'always' handle the difference in the line terminators correctly.
