Not able to bring Ascential Server

Hi,

We are having the difficulties to bring up the Ascential server on AIX environment. Please let me know how to kill this process...

netstat | grep dsrpc

tcp4 0 0 ktazp1891.dsrpc 10.237.135.211.3976 CLOSE_WAIT

This is been hanging more than 16 hours... Any thoughts...

You may tried to stop DataStage when someone was still logged in. Ask the person with the ip-address 10.237.135.211 to bounce his PC. That may work.

Hi,
First you must try to check this prior to bringing the DS Server/service down.
Secondly your sysadmins can clean that connection if it is a zombie one.
If there is a client still open it might not go untill you close hte client or sysadmins kills it.
usually there might be a several minutes time-out till it will auto clean up after client connection is closed.

untill then (netstat won't show dsrpc connections) dsrpcd will not come up !!!
