ID & PWD as parameters for BW Plug in Stage

Post by vinaymanchinila »

Hi,
As our jobs would be outsourced for production support, we need to secure the IDS and PWDs for the BW plug in stage (Extract & Load). Is there a way to pass the id and pasasword as parameters. i ddi try but the job failed.
Thanks,

HOW did you try? Were the parameter references correctly spelled and correctly cased and enclosed in "#" characters?

yes Ray, in the parameters tab I mentioned the ID and password as ParamID and ParamPWD. Inside the plug in stage I gave them as #ParamID# and #ParamPWD#.

My thing is , is it possible in the first place!
Thanks a bunch

Can you tell what was the error message?
Are you trying with environment variable or job parameter?

Hi Al,
I got the id and pwd working by using #$ParamID# and #$Parampwd# and defining them as project env variables.

Thanks,
