Hop over to ADN where they've just posted the fact that 7.5 is GA. There is an accompanying 37 page "What's New" pdf document in the File Library there that will answer all of your questions.

What's New at Release 7.5

Release 7.5 brings many new and improved features to DataStage.

Job Sequencer

Manny enhancements have been made to the job sequencer, including the

ability to loop within a sequence, the option to automatically handle

errors, and the capability of restarting a sequence from a checkpoint

position.

Mobile Director

A light-weight Director client, called the Mobile Director, is available for

use on WinCE-based poscket PCs. This allows you to run and monitor

DataStage jobs while on the move.

USS Support

DataStage now allows you to run parallel jobs on USS (z/OS) systems. A

new Complex Flat File stage allows you to access mainframe data from

within parallel jobs.

Improved Designer Interface

The Designer now gives you visual cues telling you where stages are

incomplete, and what information needs to be added.

Client Licenses

You now have the ability to update client licenses without needing to

reinstall.

Job Reporting

HTML-based job reporting is now available from the DataStage Designer.

Multi-Client Manager

You can now maintain several different version of the DataStage clients on

the same machine, allowing you to switch between them and connect to

different servers.

Nothing new in the way of 'scheduling' that I recall. However, you seem to be (in other posts) looking for new features in Sequencer jobs, so in case that's what you meant -

Some highlights from the pdf:

"Substantial Job Sequencer Enhancements"

* New checkpoing, Re-start option for Sequences
* Looping within Job Sequences - StartLoop & EndLoop stages added
* Expression support
* User Variable stage added
* New Abort activity added to Exception Handler
* Terminator stage added to abort sequences
* Enhanced Variable Support
* WaitforFile can now wait indefinitely
* Notification Activity supports parameters and attachments

You're going to have to wait for the pdf to get all of the gory details for the above items. :wink: I see smoffa has pulled out some of the other high level changes from there as well.

Client Licenses

You now have the ability to update client licenses without needing to reinstall.
Hi guys, any idea how to do that actualy in real life? Is there any "Licence Update" utility or what, other than update trough Administrator? I have had licenced DataStage 7.5 and trial of MetaStage 7.0.2. installed and when trial has expired my license for DataStage became invalid, so I can not log to DataStage consoles at all...

Thanks,

You have to update the licence before it expires!

Found a description of this in a 7.5 walkthrough presentation, it is all accessed through the "Upgrades.." button on the Administrator licensing tab to upgrade your client licenses:
Client license can now be applied in the Administrator client
No re-install required on every client machine
Licenses can be optionally distributed to all connecting client machines (via the server)
Administrator client enhanced to include new options to upgrade the client license:
Upgrade the local client license
Upgrade the license based on a license upgrade available on the connected server
Enable automatic upgrade of the license when connecting to a server (when a client license upgrade has been done within the domain)
